Manager of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships job with Para Los Ninos

As a member of the External Affairs
team, the Manager of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships (the
Manager) will play a critical role in the identification,
solicitation and stewardship of grants made by private foundations
and corporations in support of PLNs priorities. The Manager will
interact with donors and PLN staff; conduct stewardship activities
including grant reporting; and chronicle important information for
historical and reporting purposes. The Manager will establish and
maintain both external and internal relations with a range of
constituencies and serve as an ambassador for PLN.

The Manager will report directly to the Director of Corporate &
Foundation Partnerships, and will collaborate closely with the
Director of Donor Relations, the Volunteer Coordinator, and the VP
of External Affairs. This position will also work closely with
other team members and departments as needed.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Grants
Management (80%):

Strategizes, conceptualizes, writes
and submits grant LOIs and proposals as directed.
Works with the Director of Corporate
& Foundation Partnerships, fiscal, and program staff, to ensure
appropriateness and feasibility of proposal design and budget.
Ensures required funding reports are
prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Leads efforts to support and launch
special initiatives; works to expand portfolio of foundation and
corporate partners to sustain such projects.
Cultivates and maintains
relationships with foundation and corporate program officers,
promoting ongoing stewardship through communications and the
distribution of publications such as the annual report, newsletters
and event invitations.
Maintains PLNs internal systems for
prospect management, research, writing, data collection, and
calendars.
Manages data entry for foundations
and corporations in the NXT donor database.
Supports the Director of Corporate
& Foundation Partnerships with clerical tasks such as filing,
copying, drafting letters, mailings, updating organizations
Guidestar profile, and organizing internal systems.

 
Prospect
Research (15%):

Proactively identifies new and
high-level corporate and foundation prospects through electronic
alerts, analysis, screening information, data mining techniques,
push technology, demographic searches, etc.
Produces a quarterly report,
forecasting the next quarter with a list of new prospects.
Maintains and analyzes prospective
and upgraded donor data and develops current and prospective
prospect list.
Prepares organizations profiles, as
needed, for meetings and outreach with prospective funders.
Works with Director of Corporate
& Foundation Partnerships and VP of External Affairs to develop
strategy on appropriate solicitation outreach.

 
Events
Management (5%):

Collaborates with department about
event needs, including the annual benefit dinner, the Reading is
Leading program, PLNs fall and winter holiday celebrations for
families, and various donor engagements throughout the year.
Supports the Director of Corporate
& Foundation Partnerships and Director of Donor Relations with
special projects and other duties as assigned.
