Latonia’s feminine business entrepreneurs build group

If you discover you at Ritte’s Corner, the unconventional 5-way intersection in Covington’s Latonia neighborhood, consider a moment and look at the storefronts that surround you.

They sell fabrics and coffee, classic armchairs and outfits. They are purveyors of elegance and wellness, background and design and style.

And they are predominantly owned by women of all ages.

10 woman business enterprise proprietors (before long to be 11) run 13 corporations in the Latonia Company District.

And it is not a coincidence.

Billie Kegley and Chris Kidwell are the unofficial ringleaders of the group. Kegley owns the Roost Latonia, along with Mona Lisa’s Collections and an incubator, Blondielocks and the A few Chairs. Kidwell opened her boutique, Nearby Studio 325, a calendar year and a half back.

“It’s the initial surroundings the place I’ve felt rooted … and supported,” clarifies Kegley. “In just about every part.”
